I support women and their families from pregnancy and birth through to the early years of parenting.

When I became a mother, I began developing a passion for all things pregnancy, birth and parenting. Whether it's a friend, a client or a stranger in a coffee shop, I can't resist talking about parenthood and all that comes with it. I started an instagram account called Being Mama to share my motherhood journey, and a few years later I left my career in banking behind to launch my own business with the same name. I haven’t looked back since, and find it truly rewarding and fulfilling being able to support people through the myriad challenges that family life can bring.

My approach

Whether I’m helping someone prepare for birth, adjust to postnatal life or parent their young children, my approach is based on three elements.

  • My goal is not to guarantee the perfect experience. I work with my clients to give them the best chance of achieving a positive outcome, while teaching them the skills to deal with setbacks and changes as they arise.

  • I make an effort to understand my clients’ circumstances as well as their expectations. Ensuring these are aligned helps to ensure they reflect on their experiences positively.

  • I pride myself on my ability to connect with people’s needs and feelings, and endeavour to help my clients do the same with their children as well as themselves, helping to make the experience of birthing and raising children enriching and life-enhancing.
